OCC / Kryshak / Shipley Knives

Kryshak Carving Tools is a wood carving tool manufacturer, now taking over for Mike Shipley of  OCC Tools. All Oak Wood handled tools will now be Kryshak Carving Tools.  Mike will still be making the Walnut handled knives. The Man Behind the Tools John Kryshak is the owner of Kryshak Carving Tools. He has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing and processes. John started his career at the University of Wisconsin, where he studied mechanical engineering. Throughout his years working with metal, he amassed vast knowledge about how it works. He has now devoted that experience to knife and gouge making. John is an experienced machinist and programmer. His skills include wire EDM work and optimal precision in parts that were dependent on people’s lives. He is also a talented woodworker and artist.
